Beyond Gás: Between the Narrow-Based and Broad-Based Economy.

The chapter argues that Bolivia’s pattern of monoproduction development has sustained itself on different management models, and today the challenge lies in the state’s ability to construct a more diversified and articulated economy that goes “beyond gas”. To understand the various means of achieving this goal, the study analyze the effects of various export paths on income and employment, and on the linkages within the domestic market.
